Frequently Asked Questions

When enrolling, you may fill out preferences regarding your pen pal so we have an idea when creating pairs. However, it isn’t guaranteed that you will be put together with your first choice of pen pal.

Pen pals will communicate via email, but we highly recommend that rather than simply typing an email, you handwrite it and email your pen pal a picture of the handwritten letter. That way, there’s more of a connection between pen pals and the letters can serve as a keepsake even after you complete the program!

A set of strict rules regarding cyberbullying, language, etc. will be set prior to the start of the program so everyone’s on the same page. Anyone can email us at any time or fill out a report if they feel their partner is breaking said rules.

The program will last about 2 months from 5/10/2021-7/5/2021 after which we will gauge the level of interest and decide whether or not to continue.
