Tips for Writing
INTRODUCE YOURSELF!
To get the conversation started, it's always important to let your pen pal know who you are, where you're from, what hobbies you like, etc. so that they feel more comfortable talking to you.
ASK QUESTIONS!
Asking questions is a great way to spark conversation! This will make your letter easier to reply to and help both of you discover what have in common. You could ask questions like "What are your hobbies?" or "How is school over there?"
GIVE CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK!
If you're pen pal makes a mistake when writing in their second language, kindly send them feedback and corrections in that same language as part of your reply! This will help both pen pals' reading and writing skills in both languages.
ADD A LITTLE EXTRA!
To make your letters fun and interesting, get creative! You could add a picture of something you've drawn in the past, take a picture of your city and upload it, send a screenshot of your music playlist, etc.
